There are two measures related to Indicator 4: the frequency and duration of field observations (4A) and the quality of field observations (4B).

Version 1.7: The data represents Indicator 4A data through the 2022-2023 school years. The data provided on this page are current as of February 16, 2024. The visualizations are generated by the Power BI application and best practices have been made to follow WCAG 2.0 standards. Specific keyboard commands are needed to access and navigate through the data, which are not the standard keyboard commands some screen readers use. Indicator 4A
Indicator 4A is based on data reported by EPPs into the Educator Certification Online System for each individual observation. Individuals who completed an internship or clinical teaching appointment during the reporting period are included in the results. In the cases where an internship or clinical teaching appointment occurs in two reporting years, the field experience is reported in the reporting year in which it ended. For the 2018-19 AY, only individuals completing clinical teaching or an internship for a teacher certificate are included in the data set. See the ASEP manual for more information about the identification, inclusion, and exclusion process. To learn more about the field observations or EPPs, visit the Consumer Information page.
