STAAR High/Low Cut Points
The STAAR raw scores and scale scores associated with the calculation of School Progress, Part A: Academic Growth, and corresponding high and low performance level cut points, have been updated on the 2023 Accountability Development webpage. These updates reflect a more defined score of 0. This update does not change where the high/low cut points had previously been established.
CCMR Verifier
The College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Verifier will be available in the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability application from Thursday, May 24 to June 21. The CCMR Verifier provides districts an opportunity to verify the accuracy of their CCMR data and, if needed, submit official documentation to correct data. CCMR indicators determined by TSDS PEIMS submissions are not eligible for corrections, and therefore, will not be shown. The CCMR Verifier will contain data for 2021-2022 annual graduates and non-graduating 12th graders.
AEA Final Listing
The final listing for district campuses and charter schools has been posted on the 2023 Accountability Rating System | Texas Education Agency
FAQ
How do participation rates affect accountability?
Participation counts can impact Domain 3 Closing the Gaps Academic Achievement component. Should the participation status for the all students group or any student group fall below 95 percent, rounded to the whole number, the denominator used for calculating the Closing the Gaps Academic Achievement component is adjusted to include the necessary number of assessments to meet the 95 percent threshold.
Please see Participation Status and Example Adjusted Academic Achievement Performance Calculation on Page 37, Chapter 4 of the Manual.

Spring 2021 STAAR Administrations
Student Responses
District testing personnel must ensure all student responses for paper administrations of the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) science and social studies assessments are entered and submitted in the Data Entry Interface (DEI) by 11:59 p.m. (CT) May 5, 2023. If district personnel do not submit student responses in DEI by this date, the responses will not be scored. It is highly recommended that districts reserve the last 2–3 days of the science and social studies testing window for DEI submissions.
Student Responses for paper administrations of STAAR® reading language arts (RLA) and STAAR® Alternate 2 assessments were due April 28, 2023.
Student Responses for paper administrations of STAAR® Math assessments will be due May 12, 2023.
Accountability Reporting
District personnel must ensure all score codes and student information for spring STAAR® administrations (RLA, science, social studies, and math) are entered in the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE) by May 12. This includes student demographics, program enrollment, and designated supports. Changes made by district personnel after this date will not be included in accountability reports. The reporting student data file format is available on the Texas Assessment website.
All score codes and student information for the STAAR® Alternate 2 assessment were due in TIDE by April 28, 2023.
Printed Report Cards and Confidential Student Labels
Districts will not receive printed copies of STAAR report cards unless they opt in to receiving printed copies by May 12. Districts will receive confidential student labels unless they opt out of receiving labels by May 12. District personnel may make their selections for these options by using the Score Reporting and Label Requests module in TIDE.
June 2023 STAAR Administration
Districts must register each participating out-of-school (OOS) and out-of-district (OOD) test site for the June administration by May 5, 2023, using the STAAR Out-of-School and Out-of-District Test Site Registration Form. In addition, OOS and OOD examinees must be registered to test using the examinee registration form, which will be available May 15–19.
2023 STAAR Alternate 2 Administration
The deadline for districts to ship all paper test materials for the 2023 STAAR Alternate 2 administration to Pearson is May 12, 2023. District personnel may return materials as soon as testing is complete. Refer to the District and Campus Coordinator Resources for instructions on preparing materials for return. All materials should be returned in the same boxes in which they were received using the return labels included in the shipment. Additional return boxes cannot be ordered in TIDE. To schedule a pickup online, follow the How to Schedule an Assessment Material Pickup with UPS instructions, available as a PDF under the
