Educator Preparation Program Support

Updates related to Educator Preparation Program Management

Thank you! Insight to Impact Dashboard Launch Event

On April 5, over 100 representatives from EPPs across the state joined us in Austin as we launched the new Insight to Impact Dashboards – with another 50 joining online! Teams learned about the dashboards and got the change to explore and plan for their use. Our sincere thanks to everyone who was able to join!

New: Action Required- Title II Reporting

The Title II website is now available for all EPPs to complete their required federal reporting. All EPP Title II representatives should have received notification via email. If your EPP’s Title II reporting lead did not receive an email, please reach out to title2@rti.org.

To begin, please log in to the system. Go to https://title2.ed.gov/ and select "Submit Reports" in the upper righthand corner of the webpage. Your username and password remain the same. To recover a username or password, select "Forgot your username or password?" and enter your email.

For support in completing this report, please visit https://title2.ed.gov/Public/TA.aspx for links to a Glossary of Key Terms and Reporting Requirements. Instructions are included in the reporting instrument. If you have specific questions, please email title2@rti.org.

This reporting is due May 19. As a reminder, TEA does not provide technical support for this required federal reporting. We do, however, monitor EPP completion to ensure that all EPPs are in compliance with this requirement.

Pro Tip: In the past, responses from the Title II Help Desk have been delayed during high volume times. We suggest doing this reporting as soon as possible, so that you can avoid any challenges with their Help Desk.

Reminder: I2I Academy

Along with the launch of the dashboards, Wednesday also saw the official launch of the I2I academy. Please be sure to visit this webpage for supports with logging in, understanding what is in the dashboards, and using the data presented to plan for action at your EPP.

Reminder: Mid-Year Data

On Friday, March 31st, TEA distributed mid-year data sets to EPP data contacts. As in years past, these data sets included updated observation data, pass rate data, and data to enable you to update your finisher records list. These data files are available in your ShareFile folder.

If you have not yet done so, please access these data files ASAP. They contain important updates for your program and will assist you with getting all of your data in ECOS up to date. You can view this video for descriptions of the data and guidance with what to do with it.

Update: Commendation Certificates

Back at the February meeting of the SBEC, the Board adopted the 2021-2022 EPP Commendations. Every year TEA sends certificates in the mail to EPPs who earned these commendations. These certificates should now be in the mail and should be received within the next two weeks. Please be on the lookout for them.

As a reminder, you can always view all the EPP commendations on the commendation webpage.

Educator Standards and Testing

Updates related to Educator Standards and Certification Testing

DID YOU KNOW?

2023–2024 score report dates for the Texas educator certification exams are now available.

FAQs

We take this space to highlight questions that we have heard from EPPs.

Q: Why am I not able to access my EPP’s ASEP Mid-Year Data?

A: The Mid-Year Data was sent to each EPP’s Legal Authority via email with information about how to access the data via Sharefile. This was done to ensure tthat the data remained secure. You will need to contact your Legal Authority for access to those files.

Q: Now that we have the ASEP Mid-Year Data, we have questions. Who do we ask?

A: Along with the ASEP Mid-Year Data that was sent to each EPP’s Legal Authority, TEA posted a pre-recorded webinar on the Program Provider Resources page. It is the last bulleted item under EPP Training Events and Materials and is listed as ASEP Mid-Year Update 2022-2023 (March 2023). After you review the webinar if you still have questions, please contact your Education Specialist via the Data Reporting Help Desk for assistance.
