About the Data

This dataset includes all teachers employed in a Texas public school system. Academic years are between September 1 - August 31. Data on the Preparation Route tab spans from the academic years 2016-2017 until the most recently available reporting year. Data on the Initially Certified tab spans from 2019-2020 until the most recently available reporting year.

This dashboard was generated using these Business Rules.

    2. This view will allow you to see the count of employed teachers by the preparation route of their initial standard certification. To see a table view of this data, navigate to the tab: Employed and Certified Teachers Prep Route Data Table
    3. To view the breakdown of non-standard certificates, click on the information text highlighted below:




    4. To see these counts as percentages rather than counts, navigate to the Percentage of Teacher Workforce that is Uncertified tab.
